Series of scams involving politicians and bureaucrats at highest places has shaken the conscience of the nation in the last few months. Despite public outcry, no worthwhile investigations are going on in any one of them. This is because of several systemic deficiencies in our anti-corruption systems.
To persuade the Union Government to enact the bill, a nationwide movement called India Against Corruption has been started.This has already gained a huge support from thousands of people across the country. The march will be lead by eminent personalities like Kiran Bedi, Anna Hazare, Baba Ramadev, Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, Arvind Kejriwal, Prasanth Bhushan,J M Lyngdoh, along with few others have joined their hands tosupport this noble cause. Azim Premji and Ratan Tata expressed their willingness to participate and support this event to eradicate corruption.
As part of this movement, huge rallies are planned all over country. As of now ,more than 16 cities across India have confirmed their interest to take part in this. In Hyderabad, YBI (Youth For Better India) has come forward to organize this event, and expecting around 10,000 citizens to be involved. Along with us, various other NGOs, Civil Society organizations will also be present.
